Past Performance Feature

For the last 13+ years, Keres has supported the U.S. Department of Defense's (DoD) Native American Lands Environmental Mitigation Program (NALEMP). The primary objective of NALEMP is to clean up, restore, or otherwise mitigate environmental impacts on Indian lands resulting from DoD activities.

DoD is required to gather and document information on environmental impacts on Indian lands resulting from DoD activities.  To assist in complying with this directive and to provide a historical repository of NALEMP activity, Keres developed the Native American Management System for Environmental Impacts (NAMSEI), a Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) System.

NAMSEI assists the DoD in complying with a required statute to gather and document information on environmental impacts on Indian lands resulting from DoD activities.  NAMSEI allows for the reporting and management of potential impacts, step I and III reports, Cooperative Agreements (CAs), and quarterly reports.  This information supports many of NALEMPs requirements including the Annual Report to Congress, Performance Metrics, Tribal Report, along with Tribe and USACE CA progress.  NAMSEI contains features that allow for the input and management of ‘comments,’ which allow NAMSEI users to communicate information updates to the DoD. NAMSEI also contains features which support NALEMP’s annual site screening; a process developed by Keres to determine which sites assessed and reported in NAMSEI will be funded during the next fiscal year.
